On August 2nd, 2019, a team of Medical Doctors, Nurses and some security officers from the Rebecca Foundation, an initiative of Ghana’s First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, arrived in Bolgatanga to embark on a 4-Day health screening exercise in four selected districts of the Upper East Region.
The medical outreach which was targeted at deprived communities in the various districts experienced huge turnouts and at the end of the exercise, close to 4,000 people- including women, children and the old folk, were screened and treated for various ailments.
The formidable team of Medical Doctors and health professionals, who worked tirelessly throughout the exercise, brought joy to communities and put smiles on the faces of families and individuals who do not have access to health care and medication.
Our Upper East Regional Correspondent, Senyalah Castro, who has been with the team in all four districts, brings us a picture gallery of events.
Other Team members included; Daniel Kofi Asare Pobee, Samuel Ababio, Bentley Osei Kwarteng, Richard Kotey, Nana Ama Biamah Marfo, Matilda Mantey, Sandra Nunoo, Gifty Adewuto, Abigail Antwi, Ivy Adjei, Lydia Acquah, Eunice Adwoa Ofosu.
