Mr Michael Tagoe, the Vice-President of the Men’s Fellowship of the Faith Evangelical Church at Mataheko in Accra has urged men’s groups in churches to use Father’s Day to set up projects to impact the lives of the youth.

He said the yearly event provided ample time for ‘the men’ to think of minor viable projects and programmes to transform the lives of the young ones, especially the socially disadvantaged in the church and society.

Mr Tagoe, who gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said men were largely bearers of responsibility in society and shoulder a lot of the burden of their families.

He asked men in the Christian society to hold on tightly to the words of God to overcome economic and social challenges, saying God was the source of all strength.

Mr Tagoe said men must crave more of the wisdom of God in order for them to make good decisions and choices in everyday life, adding that by so doing they would live exemplary lives worthy of emulation.

“Christian men should constantly allow the Holy Spirit to guide them in every decision they make and not to rely on their own strength or wisdom,” he said.

Mr Tagoe said parents or partners must be celebrated appropriately because their roles in society were complementary and inter-related.
