The Normalization Committee are on the verge of appointing Mercy Tagoe as the new head coach of the senior women’s national team, The Black Queens.
The Black Queens have been without a coach since the departure of Bashir Hayford to handle the Somalia National team a month ago.
Footballmadeinghana.com understands the Normalization Committee will appoint Mercy Tagoe as the head coach of the team ahead of the WAFU Zone B championship in Ivory Coast.
Mercy Tagoe was the assistant coach of the team in the recent AWCON in Ghana and currently the head coach of Halifax Ladies.
She led the Black Queens to win the maiden edition to the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire acting as an interim coach.
