The Right Reverend John K. Buaben Odum, Bishop in charge of Winneba Methodist Church Diocese has called on people in leadership positions to work towards reshaping the destiny of the youth.

This he said would woo them against peer influence and social vices such as sexual abuse, lesbianism, homosexuality, prostitution and incest.

Bishop Odum made the call in a sermon after inducting Ms Cecilia Arthur as the Connexional President of Methodist Girls Fellowship, during a church service at Kasoa on Sunday.

Ms Arthur, who is also the Human Resource Manager of Ekumfi District Assembly, was presented with a Bible, Methodist Church Constitution and a bye law of the fellowship to mark the beginning of her duty.

He charged the president to be patient in handling girls, courageous in pointing out faults, should persevere in the pursuit of their objectives and offer good counseling so that they would be a blessing to the church and the nation at large.

Bishop Odum appealed to the congregation to give the fellowship moral and financial support to enable the members to discharge their functions creditably.

He led the congregation to pray for President John Dramani Mahama and the prosperity of the nation.
