Metropolitan Life Insurance awards employees

Metropolitan Life Insurance Ghana has awarded its employees with trophies and certificates for contributing to the growth of the company.

Mr Eric Nyanteh emerged the overall National Best Sales Agent of the company, while David Amposah was the runner-up.

Mr Rafiq Daudi was adjudged the Retail Zonal Manager, while Seth Soga won the National Branch Manager.

Mr Evans Arhin won the Branch Manager for zone West, Seth Soga won the Branch Manager for zone East, Emmanuel Tim for zone North and Prosper Bore won the Accra zone.

Mr Jude Galley won the Best Life Operations Officer, Marvin Gyan emerged the Best Health Operations Officer, Ibrahim Issaka won the Pension Operations Officer and Edith Boteway won the Best Internal Auditor.

Mr A.J. Kruger, Chief Executive Officer of the company, said the awards ceremony was to appreciate the efforts of the workers adding; “no company, whether in the service or product industry, can be successful without a motivated workforce”.

He said insurance penetration in the country was below two per cent of Gross Domestic Product and that another measure to predict insurance growth was to increase growth in retail banking penetration.

Mr Kruger said the parent company; the MMI Holding Group, has the vision of being the preferred lifetime financial wellness partner with a reputation for innovation and trustworthiness.

He said the sales teams, in the long term, has contributed to the mobilisation and availability of investment funds from the insurance and pension industry to support the development of the country’s capital market.

Mr Kruger commended the role the National Insurance Commission and other regulatory bodies are playing in setting a sound framework for insurance and other financial services in the country.

He said the Group provides employment to 16,000 people and enjoys the financial strength of a Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed-company valued at over four billion dollars.

He urged award winners to equip themselves with a positive frame of mind, be creative and innovative to advance the course of the company at higher heights.

Dr Joyce Aryee, Founder of Salts and Lights Ministry, urged the award winners to uphold the values of courage, speed, persistence, integrity and creativity to succeed in life.

She challenged them to have a sense of urgency in the field of work due to competition in the market arena to meet the cutting edge.
