Keta, July 3, GNA - Four robbers armed with guns on Tuesday robbed passengers on board a mini-bus traveling from Tema to Keta at Atito junction near Anloga on Tuesday stripping a middle aged woman naked, a police source said.
The source at Keta Division of Ghana Police Service told the Ghana News Agency that the robbers who were on the same vehicle with the passengers collected money and valuables including cell phones all valued at about 4,000.
They then ordered the passengers and the driver out of the bus and drove away and later found abandoned it at Atito the next day. The source said the Hyundai Mini bus, with registration number GS 5998 Y, stopped when a male passenger in the front seat told the driver he wanted to disembark. That was at 2030 hours.
No sooner had the bus stopped than the passenger pulled a gun and ordered the driver not to move while three others also ordered the passengers to a standstill and robbed them. The source said no arrest had been made.
