Midweek trading on Accra bourse makes gains

Accra, Oct. 22, GNA - The Accra Bourse on Wednesday continued its impressive performance with the All-Share Index, the key market measure, going up 16.66 points from 2,878.85 to 2,895.51 Shares traded in were 67,300.
Change in the year to date ended at 107.52 per cent. In the broader market, there were eight price changes, all positive.
Unilever Ghana gained 500 cedis to close at 10,500 cedis; Home Finance Company (HFC) gained 100 cedis at 3,200 cedis; Mobil Oil Ghana Limited appreciated by 50 cedis to close at 24,400 cedis while Social Security Bank and Ghana Commercial Bank gained two cedis each to close trading at 6,002 cedis and 15,902 cedis, respectively.
British America Tobacco; Mechanical Lloyd Company and Standard Chartered Bank gained a cedi each to close trading at 2,902 cedis; 655 cedis and 59,003 cedis, in that order.
Market capitalisation was 10,942.13 billion cedis.
