On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Dome-Kwabenya constituency, Michael Oquaye Jnr; and Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, embarked on a campaign tour named "Oquaye Tours" to rally support for the 2024 general elections.

The main goal of the event was to enhance community engagement and foster unity within the party.

The tour began at Taifa Junction, where Oquaye Jnr and Kennedy Agyapong were warmly welcomed by the community. They proceeded through the neighborhood, interacting with locals and encouraging active participation in the upcoming elections.

As they made their way towards the Taifa Burkina market, the two leaders engaged with residents, greeted business owners, and motivated onlookers to get involved in the upcoming elections.

They then proceeded to the Taifa Main market where they were greeted by enthusiastic crowds of market women and locals alike.

The tour concluded with a mini-rally at the Taifa main market car park.

During the rally, Michael Oquaye Jnr. emphasised his commitment to the community and outlined his development plans for Dome-Kwabenya.

He stated, "My focus is on providing practical solutions to the challenges our constituency faces. With your support, we can make real progress in infrastructure, education, and healthcare."

Kennedy Agyapong on his part echoed the call for unity, stressing the importance of putting aside internal party differences.

"We need to reconcile and come together to achieve our goals," he mentioned, urging supporters to back Oquaye Jnr and work towards the party's goal of "breaking the 8."

The event concluded with overwhelming support from the gathered crowd, demonstrating the NPP's efforts to build momentum as the election season approaches.

It also showcased the NPP's strategy of direct voter engagement and the emphasis on internal unity.

The strong support seen during the tour in Dome-Kwabenya, a crucial constituency in the Greater Accra Region, indicated the party's grassroots efforts gearing up for an active campaign.
