Perhaps, this will draw down the curtains on the endless calls on the ruling government by some section of the public, particularly members of the opposition New Patriotic Party for an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the late President John Evans Atta Mills; as a renowned man of God has revealed how the late president communicated to him that his death was “natural” and devoid of any mystery as some people will like to speculate.
According to the Head Pastor of the Perfect Will of God Pentecostal Mission International-Ghana, Evangelist Bernard Ayikoi Okine, who said he was the late Professor’s ‘anonymous’ armor bearer when he was president, late Prof. Mills revealed to him in a dream that he died of natural cause and nothing short of that.
The timely revelation, which comes at a time that some Ghanaians, mainly from the NPP, who saw nothing good at Prof. Mills’ administration and constantly tongue lashed him, are calling for a public inquiry into his death.
Those who hold onto this mischievous position even when it has been established that an autopsy was conducted after the death of the late president and the report is with his nuclear family, often argue that government officials gave contradicting accounts after the death of the late president, hence the need to investigate to unravel the “mystery surrounding his death.”
The proponent of this idea have not adduced any shred of evidence to back their claim that they have bandied around right from the passing-on of the late president that the ruling government was concealing some vital information relating to the former president’s death.
But Evangelist Ayikoi Okine explaining how Mills died in an exclusive interview with The Al-Hajj stated that on August, 16, 2012, the late Prof. Mills communicated with him in a dream where he said that: “nobody had a hand in my death… he also told me that, he laid his head and hands on his desk and what happened after that was a process between him and his maker to reach a destination.
He said, the late president instructed “me to tell his wife, Mrs. Naadu Mills not to be confused into believing that he was killed… he also asked to tell his wife that Rawlings was never his enemy, but it was situations that made it looked so.”
“The late president told me that there will be a new order in the NDC under President Mahama, and the pillars of that new order are three leading figures of the NDC,” Evangelist Ayikoi Okine added.
He said, the new order as revealed by Prof. Mills will mark a new dispensation in the National Democratic Congress that will bring about sanity and civility in the party and the country.
