Sunyani, May 20, GNA - Mr. Mohammed Seidu, Brong-Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Wednesday said the Atta Mills administration was embracing all lost and found sons and daughters of the party to pursue its Better Ghana Agenda.

He said: "Atta Mills is dealing with the affairs of government in a sensible manner as he is laying a solid foundation for economic prosperity so that Ghanaians could tell their own economic success story". Mr. Seidu was speaking at the inauguration of the Sunyani East Constituency Office of the party at Sunyani Zongo, which brings the number of NDC offices in the constituency to three.

He extolled former President Rawlings for ushering the country into democratic rule saying the then PNDC saw the need to bring social justice to Ghanaians since it was paramount for the total development of the country in view of the economic mismanagement and challenges the nation was facing. Mr. Seidu appealed to members of the party to endeavour to pay their monthly dues regularly to help run the office.

Nana Apaabeng, former constituency chairman of the party, appealed to members who benefited from the MASLOC loans to enhance their businesses to repay the loans as they were indebted to the tune of 6.9 billion old Ghana cedis.

He urged them to do away with petty squabbles, division and internal wrangling because such issues had the tendency to tear the party apart. We should rather rally behind the Atta Mills government to ensure that good governance and prosperity were brought to Ghanaians. The former constituency chairman stated that very soon the construction of 4000 housing units for low income earners in Sunyani by the government will begin and asked Ghanaians to exercise restraint. Madam Agnes Adomah, former deputy national women's organizer, who presided, emphasized the need for unity within the rank and file of the party without which the party can not win the next election. He said President Atta Mills was a leader who had the welfare of the people at heart and therefore appealed to them to exercise patient.
