The Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Kwakye Darffuor has lamented over inadequate vehicles at the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council to perform official duties.
According to Hon. Kwakye Darfour, the situation is dire hence the Presidency has been informed and a team has been sent by the President to make assessment of the situation for earnest intervention.
The minister said this during his maiden meeting with the heads of various departments and Agencies at the RCC on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Minister has also assured to work on challenges of lack of vehicles for the various department and agencies in the region.
Hon Darffuor called on the heads of departments and Agencies to support President Nana Akufo Addo led- government to ensure that the change made by Ghanaians reflects positively in their living standard.
He therefore urge the heads to put aside politics and work hard to accelerate development in the region and the country at large.
The Regional Minister avowed challenges include Illegal mining, Fulani menace and Chieftaincy disputes as crucial hurdles his administration must be supported to surmount .
He hinted of operating an open door policy to welcome ideas and suggestions that will help move the region forward.
The Chief Director of Eastern regional Coordinating,Randolp Korzie Sambo, on behalf of the departmental heads, pledged to work hard for the realization of the government’s vision aimed at improving the living standards of Ghanaians and develop the country.
He however appealed to the Regional Minister to tread captiously as many opportunists may feed him with unsubstantiated information about some public servants in departments and agencies.
