Accra, August 16, GNA - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday it was not involved in the processing of private visa applications.
A statement by the Ministry signed by Mr L. K. Christian, Acting Chief Director, therefore, asked Ghanaians, who wished to travel abroad on private visits to deal directly with the embassies and consulates of those countries.
The statement said due to the introduction of new procedures, Ghanaians making non-official visits especially to the United States; Canada; The United Kingdom or to the Shengen Member Countries might be expected to make personal appearances at the missions for interviews. The statement said one must go through other required procedures to obtain their entry visas and also stressed that the Ministry did not intervene in such cases.
