The Minority in Parliament has agreed to attend Thursday’s State of the Nation Address by President John Mahama in defiance to the party’s directive.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is challenging the 2012 Presidential results in Court and has directed its Members of Parliament not to participate in any activity related to the President.

The Minority side recently boycotted the vetting of ministerial nominees and also abstained from the debate on their approval.

Initial reports indicated that the Minority will not be present for the State of the Nation Address by the President but after a caucus meeting on Wednesday, the Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu stated that, “You will see our members in the House tomorrow.”

However, the Minority is expected to meet the leadership of the NPP to make their position known to them.
