Miss Ghana Italy 2010 was finally crowned with a bang at the conference hall of

the pretigeous Vergilus Hotel at Creazzo in Vicenza. For the first time in the

History of this event which started about five years ago, the Ambassador of

Ghana to Italy, Her Excellency Anita Stokes Hayford brought along the entire

staff at the Embassy to grace the Occasion. It was really great event to behold.

The vision behind the concept is of a strong African nurturing women and

integration. The contestants were;

Bertha Fosua....Vicenza, Vercia Siaw

Agyeiwah......Milan, Manuela Asiedu......Brescia, Ida Donkor......Schio ,

Christina Aduako Attakora.....Forli, Margaret Bediako.....Novara, Patricia

Asiedu........Brescia, Dorcas Brown.....San Vigilio, Valentina

Asamoah......Udine and Rosalba Mensah.....Como.

Miss Ghana Italy 2010 started in a grand style with the playing of Ghana

National Anthem (God Bless Our Homeland Ghana) which was preceeded by songs from

various Local Artistes. The master's of ceremony (M C's) of the event were Kofi

Osei Bonsu and Ama Nyarko Abronomah of Verona University. And as always Kofi Osei

Bonsu popularly known as 'Eddie the finest' was at his finest best as he

mesmerized the crowd with his silky, sexy, smooth voice and did not disappoint

with with his unique style of Mcing which is second to none in this country. A

special happy birthday song was led by Kofi Osei Bonsu for her excellency who

celebrated her birthday a week before the event. Her Excellency, Anita Skokes

Hayford advised the youth to do their best to portray the good image of Ghana

and also advised the boys to stop shabby dressing.

The Djs for the night were,Skinny,Joe Sika,Vyrox and Akavani.

The distinguished judges for the occasion were(Mr.Pier Battistin-ceo of pronto

moda),Miss Laura(fashion agent and organiser of Miss vicenza pageant),Roberto

Peron(events promoter and organiser and fashion agent),Giovanni coronin(ceo of

coronin sas),Antonio Carpaneli(ceo of pagine internet),Captain Koroma(Sierra

Leone consular general) and Mama France(womens leader of the ga adamgbe).

?The ladies introduced the day in their casual wear a routine drill to the

delight of the crowd who filled every bit of the Conference Hall.

The ladies then took turns to display what their ‘mama’ gave them in the swim

suit segment. The ‘hot’ ten girls also showcased some psychedelic catwalks to

cheers and applauds. The crowed loved that.

Then came the talent show where the ladies had the arduous task of impressing

the judges with their talents. At the end, the judges decided to reward some

ladies for their hard work. Five ladies were at this point selected for the

final stage of the competition. They are; Rosalba Mensah as Miss Eloquent,

Bertha Fosua..as Miss Personality, Vercia Siaw Agyeiwah as Miss Elegant,

Valentina Asamoah as Miss Popularity and Manuela Aseidu as Miss Photogenic.

At this point it was obvious that some of the ladies were too tensed and allowed

the crowed to get into their emotions. There is nothing anyone can do about the

crowd who will taunt you when you slip. You just have to keep going.

After a highly charged performance from the Nana Borro Aya Yede, it was time to

name the Golden Being who replaces Miss Cindy Kuffour as Miss Ghana 2010.

There was a massive rush to the stage by most patrons to catch a glimpse of the

new queen when Ida's name was declared. She worked hard for the crown and now it

is hers.
