A ultra-modern mobile clinic fully fitted with state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities like consulting rooms, operating theatres, X-ray and laboratory equipment would soon begin a nationwide tour of rural communities in Ghana.

The programme which would be operated in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service would run for three years and would bring free treatment and drugs to over 25, 000 people in the countryside each year.

Dubbed ?Faith for the future?, the project is targeted at restoring faith and dignity to rural dwellers by enhancing the quality of their spiritual and physical lives.

Faith for the future is the brainchild of Sven Levine of the Sven Levine International Ministries, a religious organisation based in the US with over 100 churches worldwide.

Evangelist Sven Levine made these disclosures during a courtesy call on Ghana?s Envoy to the United Kingdom, Mr. Isaac Osei in London. He was accompanied on the visit by Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, founder of the Miracle Outreach Centre, a UK based Christian Ministry.

The evangelist who worked extensively in Asia and the far East, said it was time to reach out and help uplift the African continent and added that his vision was built on the firm conviction that the spirit development of the individual could best be nurtured by ensuring their physical well-being.

Mr Osei lauded Mr. Levin for his initiative and pledged the support of the Government of Ghana for the implementation of the project. He expressed the hope that other religious organisations would emulate the example of Sven International Ministries to complement Government?s to develop the various sectors of the national economy.
