The montie trio today Sunday, at the forecourt of Radio gold, Latebiokorshie held a thanksgiving service to show their gratitude to God for their release from jail.
They were joined by family and friends who came to support them after their release from prison on the 26th August, 2016.
The Montie trio were found guilty of contempt charges and found to have threatened the lives of the Supreme Court judges during a radio discussion on Montie FM’s ‘Pamapaso’.
The three were sentenced to four months imprisonment and a fine of GHC10,000.00 each for contempt of court.
However, several Ministers of State signed a petition to the president to grant them pardon.
Mr. Alistair Nelson, Salifu Masse and Godwin Ako Gunn were granted pardon by President John Mahama in consultation with the Council of State and in exercise of his constitutional powers under Article 72 of the Constitution, remitted the remaining prison sentence imposed on the Montie three.
After serving part of their prison sentence imposed on them the Montie trio were released on the 26th august 2016.
