Montie FM presenter Salifu Maase, popularly known as Mugabe, will begin hosting his ‘Pampaso’ show from next week, days after being remitted of a four-month jail sentence by President John Dramani Mahama.

According to Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo, a member of the legal counsel of Montie 3, the show “will be very critical of the NPP and Nana Addo”.

Montie 3 refers to Mugabe and his two panellists – Godwin Ako Gunn and Alistair Tairo Nelson – convicted of scandalising the Supreme Court last month. On his Facebook page on Saturday, August 27, the lawyer stated that “the rebranding of Nana Addo will be placed under the microscope”.

Mr. Maase and the two ex-convicts were released on Friday upon the orders of President Mahama after serving a month in gaol.

The Court had slapped on the three a four-month gaol sentence and a fine of GHC10,000 each for scandalizing its judges.

According to lawyer Edudzi Tameklo, since his offence was not against the NPP nor Nana Addo, Mugabe will return to turn his attention on them. “Nana Addo’s previous comments would be subject to scrutiny.”

‘Closed chapter’

The private legal practitioner explained that the new Pampaso will mimic what happens on Boiling Point on Accra-based Oman FM, a radio station said to do the bidding of the opposition New Patriotic Party.

Mugabe and his guests on their return to the airwaves will not comment on any judge nor the judiciary, lawyer Tameklo wrote.

“No comment on a judge or the JUDICIARY.

“Closed chapter.”
