OSA Transport Ltd presented a cheque for 300,000 cedis. Mr Seth Mensah, Technical and Sales Engineer of Agria, said the pumps will assist the beneficiaries to produce all year round since water management is a major problem of farmers. Responding, Mr Asiedu Nketiah said the Ministry has initiated policies and schemes to enable farmers to manage water efficiently for increased production. He urged agricultural engineers to team up with farmers for large- scale production and the efficient utilisation of their products. The Deputy Minister said such partnership will make farmers patronise locally-made tools and implements, while the engineers can improve upon their technology.
