More than 1,800 Muslim Pilgrims have left the Hajj Village at the Kotoka International Airport for Mecca since the beginning of this year’s Hajj.
Alhaji Mohammed Amin, Deputy Communications Director of the Pilgrims Affairs Office in Ghana, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that about 454 pilgrims left the Hajj Village on daily basis for the Holy City since Thursday, September 3.
An estimated number of 5424 pilgrims are expected to leave to Mecca for this year’s Hajj, he said.
Alhaji Amin said the pilgrims would leave on a total of 12 flights and that the last flight would depart on September 14.
