The Police in Wa Municipality recorded 307 criminal cases, last year, with motor bikes stealing topping the list with registering 163 incidents.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Stephen Tetteh, Municipal Commander told Ghana News Agency in an interview in Wa that assault cases were 37.
He said the Police are continuing with its visibility presence in the Municipality, while the day and night vehicle and motor bicycles police patrol teams are helping to reduce the stealing of motorbikes and the crime rate.
He urged the public to collaborate with the Police and volunteer credible information to the personnel to deal with crime.
DSP Tetteh explained that issues of security are shared responsibility and called for cooperation from the public to help the police to fight crime in the Municipality.
