From now until the end of December 2025, motorists and consumers are expected to enjoy some relief at the pumps, as petroleum product prices are projected to fall during the second pricing window of the month.

According to the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC), petrol is likely to decrease by about 3.89 percent, while diesel is projected to drop by 4.59 percent.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is also expected to fall by 2.16 percent.

This means Ghanaians will purchase fuel at lower rates compared to previous prices.

As of Tuesday, December 16, 2025, Star Oil, the leading Oil Marketing Company (OMC), is selling petrol at GH¢11.95 and diesel at GH¢12.79.

Goil, on the other hand, is selling petrol at GH¢12.62 and diesel at GH¢13.20.

Petrosol, a smaller OMC in the country, petrol is going for GH¢12.58 while diesel is going for GH¢13.14.

COMAC explained that the anticipated reductions are largely driven by a significant drop in global oil prices, which has more than offset the impact of the cedi’s recent depreciation.

The Chamber added that the price decline also aligns with seasonal festive expectations and demand pressures.
