The Member of Parliament for Mpohor Constituency, Hon. Alex Kofi Agyekum and the District Chief Executive for the area, Hon. Ignatius Asaah Mensah have jointly commissioned a bridge project funded with the District Development Fund (DDF) for the people of Brunso near Adum Dominase within the District of Western Region.
The community which over the past years has severally been cut off from other communities whenever it rains due to the bad nature of their bridge.
In fulfillment of the promise, the Member of Parliament together with the District Chief Executive and the Mpohor Constituency NPP Executives were at Brunso to Commission the project.
An elder among these settlers who were extremely happy for the construction of the bridge said they are they have never received any developmental project within their community for many years.
Amidst tears of joy, the elders thanked Akufo-Addo's led Government for taking care of their plight.
Further, he said within this period of the DCE and MP they have been provided with a borehole to give them good drinking water and the newly constructed bridge.
Addressing the Chiefs and the people, the DCE intimated the position of the Nana Addo Dankwa led government to ensure that the plight of all Ghanaians is catered for no matter where the person is located
The Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Alex Agyekum also advised them to organise periodic Communal Labour to clear the waterway so that there will be a free flow of the river.
He added that he will continue to cooperate with the DCE to ensure that their demands are attended to as and when necessary.
In another development, the DCE donated twenty street lights on behalf of the Member of Parliament who was called to the Parliament House for an emergency assignment to the Chiefs and people of Ayiem in the Mpohor Constituency in the Western Region.
Donating the items to the community the DCE, advised them to position the light at vantage areas to expose those who engage in nocturnal duties thus to ensure the safety of the people.
The Adontehene of Ayiem, Nana Adono who received the items on behalf the Chief and the people of Ayiem thanked the MP for fulfilling his promise to the Ayiem community.
A die-hard NDC supporter by name Issifu (a.k.a Major Amponsah) who had earlier appealed to the DCE and the MP for a sewing Machine was lost of words when he was invited by the DCE to come for a brand new Sewing Machine for free.
With joy he wept and promised to vote for the NPP come 2020 if he is alive.
