The Acting head of Governance of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), Dr Kwesi Jonah has described the position by President Kufuor that the media should report corruption cases to the police is impracticable.
Dr Jonah said it would be difficult for a newspaper or radio station to leave its work and be running to and fro to the police over a corruption story.
He however described the entire state of the State of the Nation address, which contained the President?s assertion as well written and focused.
Dr Jonah noted with interest that in the era of private sector development, the government could still intervene in the distressed state establishments including Juapong Textiles, VALCO, Ghana Telecom and Westel.
