Mrs Anane Goes Wild.....

Sat, 16 Sep 2006 Source: Times

A nasty scene broke out, after the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) released a report which recommended that the Minister for Transportation, Dr. Richard Anane, be relieved of his position as Minister of State "for bringing his power and office into disrepute".

At the Commission’s forecourt, a reporter of "The Enquirer" was heckled because he attempted taking pictures of Dr. Anane’s wife without her consent. The camera of David Tamakloe was seized.

This resulted in a scuffle between some security personnel of CHRAJ who insisted that the camera should be released to Mr. Tamakloe by one Samuel Abdulai who described himself as a "New Patriotic Party media chief".

Another woman accompanying Mrs Anane said to be her sister verbally abused and cursed Mr. Archer saying he orchestrated it all.

Outside the conference room, Mrs. Anane was seen shouting and wishing to know why her husband was singled out for investigations out of the many ministers of state in the country.

She accused Mr. Archer and the Chronicle newspaper of waging a personal vendetta against the minister.

CHRAJ’s ruling which was originally scheduled for August 24 was postponed because of what the Commission said were administrative and technical reasons.
