Takoradi, April 27, GNA - A Takoradi Circuit Court on Wednesday remanded two musicians in prison custody for defiling a 14-year-old girl.
Their pleas of Osmanu Iddrisu and Abdul Jawal both aged 20 were not taken and they would re-appear before the court on May 11. Police Chief Inspector Joseph Hedidor told the court presided over by Mr. George Essien-Donkor that in March 2005 the two friends defiled the 14-year-old victim in turns.
The victim failed to report to the action of the two to her parents until April 23 when two other suspects now at large defiled her again and she informed her mother who reported the incident to the Police. At the same court, a 38-year-old driver and bar operator was remanded in prison custody for defiling a six-year-old class one pupil.
His plea was not taken and he would re-appear before the court on May 11.
Chief Inspector Hedidor told the court that the accused, David Jones, is the driver of Bridget Cobbina, the complainant.
He said the accused lived with the victim and her mother at Anaji-Namibia, a suburb of Takoradi and also operated the complainant's bar.
Chief Inspector Hedidor said on April 20 this year, the complainant detected that her six-year-old daughter was not walking properly and when she wanted to know why, the victim informed her mother that the accused had defiled her that day and that he had defiled her on some previous occasions.
