Muslim Youth Outraged About NDC Descecrating Islam

The Nasara group of USA is outraged about NDC’s consistent use of our sacred religion – Islam, as a tool in its politicking and evil propaganda to achieve its parochial interest. With the “ACTION” year coming to an end without much action to show for except display of NDC inordinate greed and putrid corruption all over the place, and with defeat in 2012 elections staring them in the face, the NDC in its desperation has resorted to using Islam in a sacrilegious fashion in the hopes of pitching Nana Akufo Addo against Muslims. “NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo on …Nov 30, continued his display of contempt for Islam and Muslims when he committed the mother of all sacrileges by urinating on a mosque” (Ghanaweb Dec 5, 2011).

“Boakye Agyarko, Campaign Manager of Nana Akufo-Addo, has debunked claims that the NPP flagbearer urinated on the wall of a mosque saying the NPP has a great respect for the Muslim community in the country and will not do anything so disrespectful” (Ghanaweb December 6, 2011) We have conducted our independent research and found that the reported incident is an utter fabrication and a lie. The NDC must be told in plain language that this strategy will simply not work. Islam is not a political religion and the NDC must show respect for our religion by separating Islam from politics. Commingling politics with religion could do unprecedented denigration to a religion. As devout Muslims, we will not stand aloof for our sacred religion, our people, and any other affiliates to be used as points of interests to spearhead selfish gains – that will never happen!

Nana Akufo Addo, as we all know is a true-blue Zongo boy: He grew up in Nima where his family lived during his formative years with multitudinous Muslim friends. Therefore, clearly, he is imbibed in the principles, values, and norms of the Islam Religion. People of Islamic faith are not fools and we surely know and are fast becoming aware of how NDC has taken us for a ride for many years. The party that claims to love us more has never chosen a Muslim as its Presidential or Vice Presidential candidate. From Arkaah through Mills to John Mahama, the NDC has always chosen a Christian vs. Christian ticket, whereas the NPP the NDC is projecting as anti Islam has always tried to balance its ticket with Christian vs. Moslem ticket. Not long ago, the NDC chapter in New York insulted our chief Imam on Ghanaweb and the party did nothing about it. NDC is the party that Wikie Leaks has revealed has a secret agenda that no person of Islamic faith can ever become a president of Ghana. NDC is the party that refuses to occupy the Flagstaff House as a presidential mansion, because of its close proximity to the largest Muslim Community in Accra – Nima. Yet these wicked liars have always sought to portray NPP as anti Islam. When Ghana’s oil was being commissioned, the NDC government ignored to invite our Chief Imam to the event. How many of our Imams have access to President Mills’s NDC castle as the T.B. Joshua’s and others of the Christian faith? NDC, in its efforts to run the NPP presidential hopeful down, has ended up running our sacred place of worship down – portraying to the world that our Mosques lack lavatories.

They have flipped under Northerners/Muslims friendliness to machinate against Nana Addo and mush his presidential aspiration. More so, they have invested energies trying to sow feud between the NPP and the Northerners/Muslims. In many occasions, the NDC uses our people in a primitively ridiculous fashion to score their cheap political points – it will not in any way wash! More tellingly, the NDC government is poised to bleed Northerners/Muslims in Ghana dry.

We are appealing to the NDC to respect Islam and take it out of its propaganda, Islam is a sacred religion and it should be treated as such. NDC, please stop making your childish and wicked lies about Islam because it brings our faith into disrepute. If NDC continues to show contempt for our religion by constantly making absurd allegations with Islam as its centerpiece, we of the Nasara Group – USA will take the necessary action to protect our religion and insulate it from NDC’s dirty politics because the Holy Quran,in Surah al-hujurat line 12 enjoins us as follows " o you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicions are sins and spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the one who forgives and accepts repentance, most merciful."
