Kumasi, April 26, GNA - Members of the Ashanti Region branch of the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) on Tuesday embarked on a clean-up exercise in the Zongo communities in Kumasi.

Speaking to the GNA, Mr Mohammed Nazir Ali, Vice-President of the association, said the campaign formed part of their monthly programme to draw people's attention to diseases caused by an unhealthy environment.

He expressed concern about the poor patronage of the exercise by residents but expressed the hoped that they would assist in the next exercise. Mr Ali commended Nana Akwasi Agyeman, Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, for providing them with wheelbarrows, sweeping brushes and other materials for the exercise.
