Tema Youth president Wilfred Osei Kwaku "Palmer" says his disqualification from contesting the Ghana Football Association presidential elections was not on fair grounds, insisting that it a misapplication of the law.

Palmer’s aim of becoming the next Ghana FA president hit the snag when the Normalization Committee disqualified him after vetting.

The NC questioned the integrity of Palmer over the sale of Joseph Paintsil to a club in Hungary as they believed he (Palmer) failed to pay the 10% mandatory fee to the FA.

In an interview with Asempa FM, he said, “My disqualification was far from fair that is why the case is at Court of Arbitration for Sports”

“I sold a player outside the jurisdiction of Ghana. Joseph Paintsil was never a registered player under the jurisdiction of Ghana. He was never registered under Tema Youth. I had economic rights over him.” He added.

Palmer is currently in CAS seeking for redress over his disqualification.
