My hands are clean – Nii Adote Otintor II

The chief of Sempe, Nii Adote Otintor II has denied his involvement in the murder of Children in Osu Children’s home for rituals.

Pictures of the bodies of Children’s smudged in mud and lying in supine positions are circulating on social media, but the chief of Sempe Nii Adote Otintor told the Daily View Gh in an interview that the rumour was false.

“The propaganda against me is unfortunate. I am working within the ambit of the law and will not do anything untoward,” he said.

Mohammed Mustapha affectionately called “cracking” made some allegations against Nii Adote Otintor II that the chief has been using Children from Osu Children's home for rituals which is true per his investigations.

In an interview with Dickson Boadi of Daily View Gh Nii Adote Otintor II said: ‘What sells in the media, and what indeed sold and is still selling in the media in Ghana are wild allegations and rumours directed especially at Nii Adote Otintor – ranging from the absurd – of the imputation of criminality to him in the sense that he either murdered Children’s or had him kidnapped them – and ending with the ludicrous – that he sacrificed those Children’s spiritually to enhance his chieftaincy.

‘I have been totally dismayed by the fact that the platform was provided for the peddling of these wild and ludicrous allegations and rumours against me. Those to whom the platform was provided offered no evidence whatsoever to back their statements. And indeed, the allegation of spiritual sacrifice can by no stretch of the imagination be propped up.

‘Now, I take the opportunity and state without the slightest doubt in my minds that I'm not blamable for the disappearance of Children. I had no hand in that occurrence. I have no moral or legal culpability whatsoever.’

Nii Adote Otintor II, therefore, appealed to the heads of the security agencies to ensure that anyone who makes such baseless allegations against chiefs, politicians and opinion leaders should be cautioned.
