Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Volta Regional Minister, has said his administration's legacy cannot be different from that of the ruling government and party.
He said as a representative of the President and government in the Volta region, his legacy would always tally with that of a collective agenda and could not be different from that of government and party.
Dr. Letsa, who was reacting to a question of his administration's legacy at the first Volta Regional Town Hall Meeting in Ho, said "my legacy cannot differ from party and government."
It was on the theme, “delivering On Our Promises; A Focus On Social Investments,” and organised by Volta Regional Coordinating Council and the Ministry of Information.
He said as head of the Regional Coordinating Council, who supervises, coordinates and monitors all development programmes and projects in the 18 Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs), the agenda of legacy could only be a collective effort and not personal.
He said the reason he continued to demand for diligence and hard work from the MDAs was to achieve development that would satisfy the aspirations of the people, bringing social amenities closer to them.
The Minister said the government's "flagship project of free SHS, 1D1F, Planting for food and jobs, NHIS are some of our collective legacies."
He revealed that despite challenges, roads in the region were being fixed.
Dr Letsa said he had personally submitted proposals to the office of the Vice President concerning the Eastern corridor and the Ho-Denu roads for swift attention as the stretches had huge economic implications.
He revealed that a Director had been appointed by the President for the Keta port to kickstart processes for the development of the Basin.
He said from presentations by the MDAs on policies and projects, it was evident that government's developmental agenda for the region was on course and monumental.
