Brigadier-General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah (Rtd) has observed that the country is in dangerous times and this is so because, Ghanaians are greedy and lazy to tap into the resources God has blessed the nation with.
According to the Ex-serviceman, Ghana is one of the best countries in the world with many resources a nation needs to develop; but unfortunately, Ghanaians don’t want to work; expecting a savior from somewhere.
Speaking on Oman Fm’s Morning Show, the Head of the Human Security Department at the National Security Secretariat revealed that his office is not well-resourced enough yet he is moving on with his duties as expected of him.
Using military tactics, he sees the challenges as a war which requires 90 percent preparation and 10 percent in fighting; emphasizing that Ghana will move forward if every Ghanaian at their level does something to help.
He insisted that as a nation, we have to start something before the resources are ready for final take off; stressing that he is working for the nation with his own resources to serve as a lesson to many people in the country.
“My office is not resourced but I am working hard; I am mobilizing resources to kick start in a big way. I am not the only person whose office is not resource; School Feeding Program is also facing similar problem. We have challenges but me when I’m faced with challenges, I move on to do what I have to do…..Ghana is one of the best countries in the world but we don’t want to work. God has given us everything a nation needs; if you plant anything anywhere, it will grow…we are greedy and lazy”, he chided.
