President Nana Akufo-Addo has said his government would have found it difficult to make the achievements it has chalked so far were it not for the large number of appointees in his administration.
“The output would have been difficult with a smaller number”, the President responded to a question about the size of his government when he engaged the media at the Jubilee House on Friday, 13 December 2019.
“I still stand by the fact that the numbers were necessary for the work that we have done”, the President stressed.
There are currently about 125 ministers and deputies in the Akufo-Addo government and he has persistently defended the size despite an avalanche of criticism.
In the past years, the President told Ghanaians that his delivery, at the end of his tenure, would justify the size of his government.
