Officials of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) have been given military training to adequately prepare them to combat disasters as the raining season sets in.
NADMO Boss Kofi Portuphy says this has increased their confidence level to face any disaster head on should it happen.
According to him, they have instilled discipline, leadership and organizational skills, as well as providing the officers with rescue mission regulations.
Mr. Portuphy noted that 73 NADMO officials sent to the Asutuare Military training camp for this year’s training have passed.
He says since NADMO’s work is associated with rescue mission, they are also preparing to send more of their men abroad for further training.
