An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Eric Kyei Baffour has adjourned the case against former Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), William Tevie and four others to October 16.

The five are standing trial on accusations of causing financial loss to the state.

The presiding judge said the adjournment was to enable defendants prepare adequately for the resumption of the trial.

The case was put on hold for almost 4 months, awaiting the determination of a suit at the Supreme Court that had to do with disclosure of documents.

Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, the Attorney General h filed 52 documents at the registry of the commercial division 7 of the Accra High Court.

In yesterday’s hearing, the AG being represented by the Director of Public Prosecution, Yvonne Atakora Obuobisa, told the court that the documents were filed on Monday July 23, 2018.

The court after hearing this adjourned the case to allow the defendants to be served and also prepare for the resumption of the trial.
