NCSQuiz 2018: Eight schools qualify to quarter-finals

Eight schools participating in the 2018 National Core Subjects Quiz (NCSQuiz) have qualified to the quarter-finals stages of the completion which is being held at the premises of Evangelical Presbyterian Basic School in Mamprobi.

Favour Complex school, New Order JHS, Dayspring Montessori Int. School, Atchor Memorial Int. School, Val's Preparatory School, Step-By-Step Montessori School, Evangelical Presbyterian Basic School and Living Word Assemblies Int. School have all booked spots in the last eight of the quiz competition.

Favour Complex School beat Salvation Army Basic School in the first Round of 16 contest with 51 marks to 40 marks, followed by the second contest between New Order JHS and New Horizon Int. School, where New Order JHS won by 46 marks over New Horizon Int. School who scored 32 marks.

Dayspring Montessori Int. School, winners of the 2017 edition of the NCSQuiz overcame Good Citizen School who scored 35 marks with 60 marks. The fourth round of 16 contest saw Atchor Memorial Int. School defeat Modern Day Academy who scored 36 marks against 57 marks.

Val's Preparatory School overcame Bethel Hill Academy in the fifth contest by 44 marks compared to Bethel Hill Academy who scored 40 marks at the end of the contest while the sixth contest between Last Chance Academy exited the competition after defeat to Step - By - Step Montessori school who won the contest with 52 marks over that of Last Chance Academy's 41 marks.

Evangelical Presbyterian Basic School won the seventh contest of round of 16 stage with 54 marks over Effort Montessori School who scored 49 marks at the end of the contest.

In the final contest at the round of 16 stage, LIWAIN school emerged as the winner of after securing 41 marks over Standfast Emmathess School who scored 30 marks.

The 2018 edition of the National Core Subjects Quiz has been bigger and better than the previous with the level of preparedness and zeal exhibited by the competing schools.
