The ruling NDC has described Dr. Obed Asamoah’s comparison of former First Lady, Mrs. Rawlings and President Mills as an absurdity, and has cautioned the former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, to mind his own business and leave the NDC alone.

Peter Boamah-Otukonor, an NDC youth activist says Obed Asamoah should better concentrate on the development of his Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) instead of dabbling in the affairs of the party he abandoned.

The founder of the DFP in an interview on Adom FM reportedly said that he believes Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings is more qualified to be the flagbearer of the governing party than President Mills.

Dr. Obed Asamoah asserts that Mrs. Rawlings’ role in the NDC’s political development has been crucial to the sustenance of the party, adding that the former first lady has contributed more to the development of the NDC and the nation than the sitting president.

But contributing to a panel discussion on PeaceFM’s flagship programme, “Kokrokoo”, Mr. Otukonor contended that the immediate Past Chairman of the NDC seems not to know what he is saying, because he is a bundle of contradictions, adding that Obed Asamoah’s comparison of the former first lady and President Mills is senseless.

He counseled the astute lawyer to desist from passing derogatory comments about the NDC to keep the respect Ghanaians and the NDC has for him since he has failed in managing his own party.
