The Atlanta Georgia branch of the National Democratic Congress held a well attended NDC victory party at the Cobb Galleria Inn, Atlanta Georgia, on the 29th of December 2012.

In an occasion that witnessed a massive turn out by sympathizers of the NDC, the MC of the occasion who doubles as the PR of the Chapter Mr. Aikins introduced the ever green and dynamic Chairman of the Chapter Dr. Sarfo who in turn gave a very powerful welcome note to the audience and sent a convincing message that, come what may the voices of the people of Ghana that was echoed during the just ended elections will have its final icing on the cake when H.E. President Mahama who trounced Akuffo Addo in the election is sworn in on January 7th. He added that NPP’s court action was dead on target and nothing can change the verdict of the people, and subsequently encouraged the celebrants to pick up their NDC Atlanta Membership cards which were sent from the party’s headquarters in Accra.

There were solidarity messages from NDC sister Chapters such as the Florida Chapter, Chair by Mr. Richard Ahlijah and also the Deputy Chairman of NDC USA, Hon. Evar Prince Agyeman who all praised Ghanaians for a peaceful elections, and indicated that NDC will continue its ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ to improve their lives.

Mr. Earthar Larbi a member of NDC Atlanta walked the supporters through the values and importance of being a social democrat and encouraged members to be more resilient and committed to the social democratic policies and values of the NDC, against the property grabbing policies of the NPP.

The occasion which was transmitted live on Dolsh Radio1, had well deserving and committed members of NDC Atlanta awarded Certificates of Recognition, with the Organizing Secretary of the Chapter Mr. Samuel Asinor winning the highest award for his exceptional organizational skills.

Three chiefs, namely, Nii Kpakpo Samoa I, Nkosuo Hene of Akramang in the Amasamang District, Nana Ayeh-Yirenkyi I, Okuapiman Hene of Georgia, and Torgbui Kakrani IV of Adaklu Helekpe, in the Volta Region were all in attendance to grace the occasion and it was all joy while members danced to celebrated songs as evidenced in these links

NDC Atlanta wishes Ghanaians and NDC sympathizers, as well as staff of Ghanaweb for creating a cyber platform for Ghanaians to interact and share ideas, a Happy and Prosperous New Year. We pray for God’s guidance upon H.E. John Dramani Mahama even as he continues to steer the affairs of the country in a better direction.
