…Building Left, Right And Center

A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, is demanding explanations from the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the alleged acquisition of a $20 million Headquarters since he (Aseidu) is on record to have stated during the party’s National Delegates Congress held in Sunyani that the NDC has begun the construction of a headquarters which is near completion.

Yaw Buabeng sarcastically insists the NDC Chief Scribe is the best person to provide information about the project since he was now a “block supplier” to every NDC building project.

He alluded to claims by founder of the party, ex-president Jerry John Rawlings that corruption had eaten into the fabric of the current leadership of the NDC.

“As for Aseidu Nketia, he is an expert in construction because he manufactures blocks at Bui City....All I want to ask him is that where did the NDC get the $20 million from?...Within three years of economic hardship in Ghana, they have all this money?” he asked.

Speaking on OmanFM's National Agenda, the NPPs Deputy Director of Communications said he was stunned by the conflicting responses being churned out by spokespersons of the party following claims by political pressure group, the Alliance for Accountable Government (AFAG), that the ruling government is building a new headquarters worth $20 million.

AFAG, however did not provide any proof to the allegation, stating that they will come out with more information in due course.

“I’m shocked that the deputy General Secretary (Kofi Adams) of the same party, gave a different answer when he was called upon to respond to the issue…it’s surprising for Mr. Kofi Adams to say the suppose land is rather at Oyibi whiles we are talkin about Adabraka…Yaw Boateng Gyan also gave his version of the story revealing that the said land is at Oyarifa whilst they were still searching for one at Spintex.

“What is at play here? Now we know they are self-centered and came to satisfy their own selfish agenda...The NDC is now a real estate agent and is in the full business of buying lands,” he claimed
