Accra, Sept. 9, GNA - The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has ratified the decision taken by the Functional Executive Committee (FEC) to sever the party's relationship with the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD). A statement signed by Mr Baba Jamal, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, on Friday stated that the NEC had taken note of the "long-standing anti-NDC attitude of CDD."
It added that this culminated in the CDD's Afro Barometer Survey Report, which indicated that the NDC would lose if elections were conducted at the time of the survey.
"The result of the Odododiodioo bye-election is testimony of how biased the CDD report was."
The NEC had also directed its structures at all levels including Constituency, Regional, National and the Parliamentary Caucus to ensure that the decision was respected and implemented.
