The National Democratic Congress has denied threatening violence, in the up-coming Parliamentary by-election in the Wassa Amenfi-West Constituency of the Western Region.
The Party's General Secretary Nii Josiah Aryeh said on Peace fm on Tuesday that, the NDC has rather resorted to a non-cooperation position, with the security services, should they prevent NDC members from holding campaigns in the area in the event of another visit by the vice-president prior to the election.
He said the NDC considers the Vice-presidents persistent visits to constituencies where by-elections are to be held, a means of blocking democratic avenues.
In another development, the NDC General-Secretary has alleged that, he has hard evidences of vote-buying on video tape and other material forms, which are being done by the NPP.
He said, the party executive will put those evidences in the public domain, after the Amenfi-West by-election slated for this Thursday 24th April 2003.
