Accra, April 30, GNA- The National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday saluted workers, farmers, fishermen, service personnel and all other identifiable working people of Ghana on this year's Workers Day celebration.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Dr Josiah Aryeh, General secretary of the NDC.
The statement said the NDC salutes the workers of Ghana on their sacrifices and forbearance in the face of the worsening living conditions in the country.
It said working people should know that there was hope, saying that the darkest hour is certainly the one before dawn and as the new era under the NDC rolls forward with time, working people must stand firm in defence of their legitimate demands for better living conditions. In a related development, a release issued and signed by Bin-Kotten Nibi, Publicity Chairman of the Peoples National Convention (PNC) to congratulate workers on the occasion of May Day, assured workers that a PNC led government would ensure adequate rewards for the toil and sacrifices of all categories of workers.
It said the PNC administration would assist Ghanaian entrepreneurs to revive all defunct state corporations and industries and create employment for the youth to enable them to contribute towards self-sufficiency.
