Management of the Ghana Institute of Social Democracy has asked newly elected executives of the National Democratic Congress to enroll at the school for further training.
In a press statement, the Institute congratulated the elected executives and asked that they celebrate their victory in a more crime-free manner. They further admonished individuals who lost to be strong and respect the decisions of the delegates.
“We at the Institute, remain encouraged by the number of GISD ‘alumni’ who contested and won their respective elections across the country, We admonish the victors to be magnanimous in their celebrations, whiles we encourage the defeated candidates to get involved and continue to work hard for the party’s victory in 2020” it said.
“We will use this opportunity to announce that, there are some necessary training programmes for all party members and most importantly all newly elected executives”, it further stated.
The main opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) held its party’s constituency elections Saturday June 23.
The elections were held in 259 constituencies instead of 275 across the nation.
However, the outstanding 16 constituency polls was unable to come off due to what the party describes as their unpreparedness to hold elections as scheduled.
