We in the NDC Virginia chapter have received with total shock and dismay the news of the sudden death of Squadron Leader clend Sowu, a founding member of the great Akatamanso fraternity (the NDC), a member of the Consultative Assembly that drew the 1992 constitution of Ghana, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Anlo Constituency, a former Minister of Works and Housing, and until death has laid its icy hands on him, the Board Chairman of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Squadron leader Sowu was a maverick, an independent minded personality. He always stood strongly by the principles, truth, and ideals of our great NDC party. He was a fearless and very humane and passionate person. He always contributed dispassionately on issues of national concern and importance and issues concerning the Anlo State, without fear or favor.
Squadron Leader clend Mawuko Sowu was an exceptional and brave soldier, a real gentle man. He was very articulate and argued his points out with facts and figures. In his life as a soldier and as a politician, he served his country faithfully in TRUTH, HONOR, DIGNITY and RESPECT. One of the bravest and finest soldiers Ghana has ever had!
Death has robbed us of true, devoted and dedicated son. Oh death what art thou? NDC has lost a strong pillar. The Anlo State has lost a strong tower!
We, however, take consolation in the fact that God has given and God has taken. Who are we to question Him (GOD)?
The Chairman, the Executives and the members of NDC Virginia wish to express our sympathy to the families and friends of our departed Comrades. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at these difficult times.
We encourage you to stay strong at this difficult and trying moment.
Please accept our sincerest and most heartfelt condolences.
May His Soul and the Souls of all the faithful departed through the Mercy of God Rest in Perfect Peace!
Squadron Leader, hedenyui!
Na dzudzor le nutifafa me! Amen!
Daniel Dotse,
