The research committee of the Akilu Sayibu Fan club in Tamale has stated that, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose the Tamale North constituency seat come December 2012 as a result of its track record of very poor performance in the Tamale North constituency since the inception of the 1992 constitution in Ghana irrespective of the candidate they present for the elections.

Speaking to the media in Tamale, the chairman and secretary of the club messrs Ahamed Rufai and Zakariah Ibrahim Alhassan aka Lawyer said that, a research the fan club conducted in the Tamale North constituency has disclosed that, the electorate in Tamale North will be voting largely for development in the constituency and since the constituency has since 1992 been represented by the NDC, then it is responsible for the massive underdevelopment in the constituency.

The research team stated that, a visit they made to Gbayamli, Taha and Gbalahi all in the Tamale North constituency has revealed that, the electorate in those constituencies have consistently voted for the NDC and have consistently over the years being inundated with absence of basic necessities of life.

In Gbayamli, the people have no water to drink, no KVIP, no electricity and no good roads perhaps their “reward” for voting for NDC for 19years.

The Akilu Sayibu Fan Club has therefore called on the electorate in Tamale North to vote for Mr. Akilu Sayibu and Nana Akuffo Addo to help give them what they have lacked for 19years in Tamale North.
