NDC Youth Finance Committee donates rice to party for Eid

The Finance Committee of the youth wing of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Northern Region has donated rice to the party to support in providing foodstuffs to the grassroots for the celebration of Eid.

This is was done at the party's Secretariat in Tamale, where the leadership of the committee handed the bags of rice to the NDC Northern Regional secretary, Mohammed Abdul Salam on May 22, 2020.

The bags of rice, which were about hundred (100) were meant for the party's youth wing for onward distribution to the youth of the party in the region.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the party, the secretary said this came at the time the party needed it most, adding that it was a gesture that will remain unforgettable.

"On behalf of the party and my colleague executives, I want to thank you so much for the support. And let me also tell you that your donation is timely. Be rest assured that, this is something we shall never forget", he said.

On their part, Mr. Ayuba Ahmed Muin who spoke on behalf of his colleagues in the committee disclosed that the donation wouldn't be possible without the able support of UK/Ireland chapter chairman of NDC, Alhaji Alhassan Mbalba and Alhaji Sualisu.

Present to witness the occasion on behalf of the committee were Salifu Abdul-Rashid, Dr Mohammed Sherif Abdul-Khaliq, Abdulai I Halilu and Yussif Abdul-Razak.
