Samuel Koku Anyidoho, the former Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized the party for what he perceives as a lack of focus in their campaign strategy leading up to the 2024 general elections.

Comparing the NDC's campaign approach to that of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Koku accused the opposition party of being overly reliant on organizing daily press conferences while the Vice President is actively campaigning.

He further criticized the NDC for diminishing the effectiveness of press conferences as a powerful communication tool.

"While Bawumia is campaigning 24 hours, the '24-hour economy' people are ensconced in daily press conferences, in the process grossly abusing the effectiveness of the press conference as a potent communication device. The press conferences have become meaningless," Koku stated on his X page.

In various posts, Anyidoho has expressed praise and admiration for Dr. Bawumia's campaign efforts, while openly attacking the NDC's presidential candidate, former President John Dramani Mahama.
