NDC candidate sends good wishes message to MP

Accra, July 23, GNA, - Nii Lante Vanderpuije, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidates for Odododiodio, has sent a message of good wishes to Nii Bi Ayibonte, incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) holds its primaries on Saturday.

Nii Lante Vanderpuige expressed the hope that the incumbent would get the nod to make the contest keen in December.

He said: "I want a good fight to prove to him that it was God, who decided that Nii Okaija Adamafio should take a rest after 15 years in public office but not because of Nii Bi."

Nii Lante who was addressing a meeting with some members of the electorate in the Constituency said: "If he had retired the former MP as he was boasting.

The he should be prepared to go on retirement prematurely come December 2004 through a fair election."

He advised NDC supporters to ignore the false propaganda by his opponents that he was creating confusion and said he could not be intimidated and would remain focused to win the seat.

The NDC Candidate described his chances as bright and said, "I trust God would touch the hearts of the NPP leadership to hand over peacefully after their crushing defeat come December, especially in Odododiodio".
