The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ekumfi constituency is demanding the whereabout of the ambulance given the constituency under the one-constituency one ambulance initiative.
A communication team member of the party, Ekow Kakra Nketiah Richardson told Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that the ambulance has been sent to Winneba, a decision they say is not the best.
He said residents in need of an ambulance have to call Winneba before the ambulance is released.

Healthcare is one most fundamental human intervention that no government or any institution has to toy with but do all within its reach to ensure safety for humanity. But here in Ekumfi, our story is different our insufficient and fragile health care is still been suffocated the more by political leaders in the Ekumfi constituency.
Not long ago the government made the delivery of ambulances to all the 275 constituencies in the country but here in EKumfi, we don’t know if we are not part of these constituencies. This rhetoric seems not as if we weren’t beneficial but the ambulance which is suppose to benefit Ekumfi can’t be located anywhere near Ekumfi.
Fellow citizens of Ekumfi needless do I remind you that this ambulance is one only singular significant strive made by this government to improve the healthcare situation in EKumfi. The largest health facility (THE EKUMFI NARKWA POLYCLINIC) is the handwork of John Mahama, Numerous CHIP compounds across the length and breadth have been provided by the NDC governments.
The Essuehyia Healthy center was rehabilitated and refurbished during Hon Abeiku Crentsil’s tenure as MP. But in the last four years there is no single even yet to be completed health project ongoing. In the four years of Hon Abeiku Crentsil, he can boast of these health facilities NARKWA POLYCLINIC, Egyankwaa CHIP, Adansi CHIP, Abor CHIP, Suprudo CHIP among others.
We were thinking Ekumfi would have benefited from the supposed panic jerking 88 District Hospitals said to be completed in record time since we don’t have a District Hospital, which also has eluded us and the only Ambulance for our consolation is also missing. The various facilities are relying on the two Ambulances donated by Hon Abeiku Crentsil. Where is our Ambulance?
To our political leaders, Francis Kingsley Ato Cudjoe and The DCE Bernard B. Grants the people of Ekumfi need to benefit from the Ambulance. We cant sit for lives to be lost whiles there is an opportunity to save them. Live’s lost cant be brought back let preserve it while we can.
Long live Ekumfi
Long live NDC
