NDC does not believe in democratic governance-Botwe

Cape Coast (C/R), Oct.26, GNA - The General-Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Dan Botwe, on Saturday said the National Democratic Congress (NDC), does not believe in multi- party democracy and that its top hierarchy, had " no respect for the rule of law". He said, as a result of this, the NDC had the worst human rights record, and called on Ghanaians to reject the party during the next General Elections.

Mr Botwe was speaking at a forum organised by the University of Cape Coast branch of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), of the NPP, under the theme, "quality youth leadership for progressive development". He asked the students to play the role of vanguards and to explain government policies to the people at the grassroots to enable the NPP retain power so that Ghanaians would continue to enjoy their rights.

The Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim, Mr Joe Badu-Ansah challenged the flagbearer of the NDC, Professor John Evans Atta-Mills to indicate what he would do for Ghanaians when voted to power and stop condemning the good works of the government.

He said the NDC had nothing good to offer the Ghanaians, but continued to castigate the government without telling the people what better alternatives the party had to offer.

The Regional Chairman of the party, Dr Kweku Ghartey, asked the students to think positively to enable them to contribute effectively to national development.

The Regional Youth Organiser, Mr Thomas Yaw Adjei, said the government was on track, and would never fail to deliver on its promises.

He asked the students not to rest on their oars but to continue to campaign vigorously for the party.
