Yaw Boateng Gyan, a former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has condemned the endorsements of candidates by some party bigwigs.

This follows the just ended National Youth and Women’s Congress at Cape Coast in the Central Region on Saturday December 10, 2022.

Lawyer George Opare Addo retained his position after a keenly contested election in Cape Coast on Saturday 10th December 2022.

Prior to the elections Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, endorsed the candidature of Brogya Genfi for the position of National Youth Organiser.

Sam George said he was convinced that Brogya Genfi was the best amongst all the aspirants for the position of National Youth Organizer.

The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, endorsed Brogya Genfi days prior to the party’s Women and Youth Congress.

In a tweet, Sammy Gyamfi stated that he believes Brogya Genfi was the right person the NDC needed as a youth organizer.

“He is strategic, inspiring, COURAGEOUS, a unifier, and a team player. He is Brogya Genfi- the Youth Leader, the @OfficialNDCGh needs”, Sammy Gyamfi tweeted.

Speaking on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with host Kaakyire Ofori Ayim, Yaw Boateng Gyan asked national executives to give each candidate a level-playing field to compete.

“If you have two children and they are both running for a position, you do not have to rally behind one candidate while leaving the other to his or her fate. Give them all a level playing field on which to compete. If you want to give them money, divide it evenly and bestow your blessings on them. “Candidate endorsements during elections are not the best,” Yaw Boateng Gyan said.

He urged the national executives to give equal opportunities to each candidate to avoid internal hatred and enmity.
